Le Corbusier rightly said “The Home should be the treasure chest of living” with the same essence, Home science draws its strength from both science and arts discipline. M.Sc. Home Science is a 2-years long Postgraduate course in Home Science, and is generally divided into 4 semesters. It studies every aspect of family and human resource management in complete detail. Home Science covers a few areas of specialization such as food and nutrition, Communication and Extension, Resource Management, Human Development, Fabric and apparel science. We learn and develop good interpersonal relationships within and outside the family. To be eligible for this course, a candidate must complete B.A. or B.Sc. in Home Science from a recognized university. They must obtain minimum 45% aggregate marks for being eligible for admission. Most colleges grant admission to M.Sc. Home Science on the basis of marks scored in graduation followed by counselling and document verification. However, our university grant admission to M.Sc. Home Science on the basis of marks scored in graduation.
